Start with making the hole about about twice the size of the root ball. If there are ropes on the root ball, make sure they are all removed.
Do not remove the burlap around the root ball. The burlap will decay and protect the small root hairs. If your tree has a wire basket around the root ball, also leave that intact and in the hole. The roots will grow through the wire basket.
Back fill and gently step on the soil to remove any air pockets. Water every day for the first week and then every other day during the summer.
Remember, if it is dry make sure you water your trees. In the fall when the weather starts to cool, you won't have to water again.
Our final day of the season is December 19, 2021.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
